The Minute Hermit (Phaethornis idaliae) is a tiny species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is endemic to humid Atlantic Forest in south-eastern Brazil, ranging from Rio de Janeiro north to south-eastern Bahia. At average of 6.7 cm (2.64 in) long and a weight under 3 grams, this is one of the smallest known birds.[1]
